On September 19th, 2025, Home Headquarters hosted its annual Block Blitz, a long-standing community initiative that brings together homeowners, volunteers, organizations, and students to help revitalize neighborhoods across Syracuse. The event provides cleaning, landscaping, painting, and repairs at no cost to residents — all with the goal of building pride, strengthening community ties, and uplifting entire blocks.
This year’s Block Blitz focused on the Southwest side of Syracuse, where Jubilee Homes was fortunate to benefit directly from the collective effort. Volunteers and students dedicated their time and energy to the Urban Delights Community Learning Farm, continuing vital renovations that are helping transform the space into a hub for education, youth engagement, and community growth.
The success of this Block Blitz would not have been possible without the collaboration of so many dedicated partners. Jubilee Homes extends its deepest gratitude to Home Headquarters for leading the event, as well as to Syracuse EOC, Onondaga Earth Corps, Syracuse City School District, and the outstanding students from CNS, ESM, and Nottingham High Schools who rolled up their sleeves to make a real difference.
Events like Block Blitz demonstrate the true power of community. When neighbors, organizations, and young people come together, they not only improve the physical environment but also plant seeds of hope, pride, and opportunity that will continue to grow for years to come.
